Ryan Redington, age 38. I am racing Iditarod because I love the Iditarod and the dogs. My grandfather is Joe Redington Sr. He is known as the ‘Father of the Iditarod’ for starting the race in 1973. My dad is Raymie who has raced in the Iditarod 14 times. My grandpa, dad and Uncle Joe are all in the Mushing Hall of Fame. I got big footsteps to follow and am glad to be racing in the 2021 Iditarod. In the 2020 Iditarod I had my best finish in eighth place. Henry, Ghost and Splint are my lead dogs.
