I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California. I’m originally from MN. I’ve lived in several other states including eight years in AK. I’m a retired English teacher and principal. My husband is the quintessential mountain man and all around good guy. My two adult sons, grandson, and two grand-dogs also live in CA. In 2014 my husband, Useitup, and I, Joaquintrail, hiked the PCT. In December I turned 70. It seemed time to hike solo, so in December I hiked section L of the PCT alone.
